Flash Player 9 Plugin for Firefox with Ubuntu Linux

Tested on Ubuntu Linux 6.06 Dapper Drake and Mozilla Firefox 1.5.

The following steps install the Adobe Flash Player 9 for your Firefox browser.

1. Execute the following command in your terminal.
   

   cd Desktop && wget http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player_9_linux.tar.gz && tar -xvvzf install_flash_player_*.tar.gz && cd install_flash_player* && sudo ./flashplayer-installer



2. When asked enter /usr/lib/firefox for the browser installation directory.


3. Start or restart Firefox. To check the version of your Flash plugin in Firefox enter about:plugins into the URL location bar.
